Design a Course People Actually Finish

With the Course Maker Workshop Series

How long has “create my course” on your 2026 to-do list?

Have you “carved out the time” with little to show for it?

Maybe you’re afraid it’s gonna flop, and you wouldn’t be alone. Nobody wants to pour time and energy into something people think is crap. (And you’ve taken enough crap courses to know exactly what people do with then and that is NOT what you want). This is a part of your reputation and what you put into the world matters.

BUT no amount of “just do it” is going to solve the problem either. Because the hold up is you’re unsure of how to design a course that gets results. And that’s totally ok. Teaching is a whole discipline in and of itself. It’s a whole-ass four year degree (Also? Many of my clients are former teachers; it’s hard to see the forest through your own trees.)

You know your shit, but that’s often what makes it harder to teach.

So I’ve created a pick-your-poison style workshop series that’ll guide you on each step of the journey to creating a learning experience people are excited to buy and that they actually learn from.

All 6 workshops are designed to function as the right step for where you’re at - with homework in between. And when I run a workshop, we get work done, so your homework is your next step. No guess work and no feeling stuck.

Why buy the whole bundle? If you buy all 6 workshops together, you get the whole curriculum, of course, but you also get support from me across the whole twelve weeks, and accountability in between the sessions.

What We’ll Actually DO

Six live 90-minute workshops, 12 to 1:30pm ET, biweekly from October 8 through December 17. Each has a specific learning design focus and builds off of what you’ve got and where you need to go next. We’ll scope, design, then plan this thing.

*Note: the cart closes for buying the whole bundle on October 20th. The cart of each workshop closes on Tuesday at 12pm ET before each workshop. I’m capping the bundle at 10 cause beta tests are fun and experimental.

1. Create a Course That's "Just Right"— October 8

You stop starting over and over because you’ll know who the course is for and what they need to be able to do. You’ll walk away with concrete learning objectives.

Assumes you know people are interested.

2. Make The Outline Make Sense— October 22

Stop using duct tape and build a path to a course your people can complete (instead of guessing). You’ll walk away with an outline that gets results.

Assumes you have concrete learning objectives.

3. Creating Activities That Stick — November 5

Creating the work they’re doing inside the program. You’ll walk away with a completed activity and a process for creating the rest.

Assumes you have an outline.

4. Teach Them, Don't Talk at Them — November 19

Build the lesson so they can use it. You’ll walk away with a script, a plan, or slides for the “teaching” part of your program.

Assumes you know what people do in the lesson.

5. Catch Them Before They Stall Out — December 5

Identify pacing and check-ins at the spots where people quit. You’ll walk away knowing when and where people get stuck and how to unstick them.

Assumes you have lessons planned.

6. Planning, and Beta, and Platforms, Oh My!— December 17

Pick the platform your course needs and plan the beta. You’ll walk away ready to launch.

Assumes the course is designed.

What You Walk Away With

  • A course plan scoped to what people actually need to do (no bloated “value” add-ons over here)

  • An outline that will actually get results (for you and your clients)

  • Activities where they practice effectively (increasing learning over time)

  • Lessons built so they can do it without you (improving implementation)

  • Pacing and check-ins at the spots where people quit (removing barriers)

  • A platform picked for your course and a beta plan with dates that fit your life (so you can start creating the thing)

  • The confidence to actually talk about and launch the thing (cause it’s half the battle)

  • The relief of knowing you’re doing the best you can for the people you’re trying to help (isn’t that what we all want?)

Why YOU?

  • You've been building this course for longer than you want to admit

    • you've restarted more than once OR

    • you keep learning more about course creation instead of building yours OR

    • you've got pieces built and no idea if the duct tape will hold them together.

  • You want to launch in the new year with something that works, not crossing your fingers and hoping for the best because you want what you put into the world to have an impact.

Why ME?

I'm not just someone with an instructional design background. It’s not just that I’ve been awarded grants to study adult learning online and published research on getting student results. It’s also that I've taught over 3000 adult students across 7 different schools and reviewed 16 course platforms so you don't have to.

I see dead courses before they're dead.

Why NOT You?

  • You don't have an idea people have confirmed they want. Start there. That’s what the free Jumpstart helps with.

  • You want it done with you instead of learning to do it. That’s my course partner program.

  • You want more self-paced supported DIY, that’s the membership (because I’m taking you through that curriculum live, which means the series is less “on your own time” than the membership is).

  • You can only make one or two of the dates. Buy those individually, the bundle isn't worth it.

The Deets

Beta pricing in this first experimental round.

  • One workshop: $200

  • Pick 3: $500

  • All 6: $1000

All six live, all recorded, replays included while I’m in business.
