Pick Your Path

This Step is a Pick Your Path based on YOUR context. Click on the  one best describes you and it will take you where you need to be:

Path 1

Think about your most successful experiences doing the thing you want to teach. These are the moments where you were in your element. That's what you're going to use to answer the questions below. This step is going to take us from "this is the magic" to determining if the magic is teachable and how.

We’re going to brain dump. Grab a timer. I’ve included a link to one, if you’d like to use that. Otherwise, just use what you’ve got.

I want you to spend 20-30 minutes writing out all the ideas you’ve ever had for a course. Nobody is going to see this but you, so throw it all out there. Ideally, you’d just keep going without stopping (so even if thoughts like “shit, I forgot to get bunny food at the store” comes up, write it down and keep going).

This is fillable; you could also print it or just do this in a journal. There’s research that suggests handwriting is actually best for getting creative ideas out, so use that as you will. Alternatively, you could use a speech to text or the voice recorder on your phone. The how doesn’t matter here - it’s the what. Keep going without stopping for at least a full 20 minutes. Not hitting the 20 minutes is cheating yourself, not me, so I’m going to leave you to it.

Path 2

Think about your most successful 1:1 client work. That’s what you’re going to use to answer the questions below. This step is going to take us from “this is the magic” to determining if the magic is repeatable and how.

Keep going without stopping for a full 20 minutes on all your potential ideas. Not hitting the 20 minutes is cheating yourself, not me, so I’m going to leave you to it.
